Description

This phrase refers to bone disorders that a child is born with — also called congenital bone conditions. These are not caused by injury, infection, or poor nutrition, but rather develop while the baby is still in the womb due to genetic or developmental reasons. 🦴 Common examples include: Clubfoot (Talipes Equinovarus) — the baby’s foot turns inward or downward. Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH) — the hip joint doesn’t form properly. Congenital Limb Deformities — missing or shortened arms/legs. Osteogenesis Imperfecta — “brittle bone disease,” where bones break easily due to a genetic defect. Scoliosis (congenital type) — abnormal sideways curvature of the spine from birth. These conditions may be visible at birth or noticed as the child starts to move or walk. Early diagnosis and treatment — such as physiotherapy, braces, or surgery — can prevent disability and help the child grow normally.
